Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Strategic Initiatives and Government Operations professional to turn policy, regulatory, and community realities into actionable business decisions. You will work with senior leaders to scope, analyze, and execute high-impact bets across multiple markets, while embedding AI across workflows for faster, better decisions.

You will build trackers, dashboards, and models to size opportunities, evaluate incentives, and guide Crusoe’s energy-first approach.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years in strategy or management consulting, government relations or public affairs, policy analysis, corporate strategy, market research, project finance, energy or infrastructure development.
• Strong Excel skills; you build clean, well-structured models and trackers.
• Fluency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on AI fluency; you use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar tools for real research, analysis, and drafting.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Commercial judgment; you can reason about customers, costs, incentives, business models, and unit economics.
• Operational rigor; you have built processes, trackers, or reporting that others rely on.
• Analytical rigor; you evaluate sources, check math, and defend reasoning.
• 25-50% travel to Crusoe locations

Responsibilities

• Design and run cross-functional workflows linking Government Affairs with commercial, energy, development, finance, and sustainability teams.
• Build and maintain trackers and datasets of jurisdictions, regulations, programs, stakeholders, commitments, and milestones.
• Prepare briefing materials, talking points, decks, and background memos for meetings with officials and partners.
• Coordinate the operational side of engagement: timelines, deliverables, and follow-through.
• Identify where AI can speed up research, drafting, and synthesis and build workflows to deploy it across the team.
• Measure social, economic, and environmental value and report on it to leadership.
