Job summary

UMass Boston seeks a detail-oriented administrator to support the Vice Chancellor of Athletics and Recreation (VCAR) and senior staff. Responsibilities include developing and overseeing NIL policies, supervising student workers, and collaborating with campus leadership to advance athletics initiatives in line with university plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 1–3 years of project management experience in higher education or athletics preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills across internal/external groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct administrative support for the VCAR, including scheduling and travel planning.
• Develop meeting materials, agendas and briefings for diverse committees and initiatives.
• Coordinate department-wide communications, reports and presentations using data insights.
• Lead and manage department-wide projects aligned with university plans.
• Oversee onboarding, PTO, and HR processes for department staff and interns.
