Job summary

The incumbent will recruit and supervise 100+ student staff, lead trainings, oversee maintenance, and update risk management policies. A budget role and strategic planning support are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field required; Master’s degree with related experience preferred.
• CPR Teaching Certification within six months of employment.
• Strong customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to supervise and develop student staff.
• Knowledge of safety standards and risk management for intramural activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise intramural activities; design, implement, and evaluate new programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate 100+ student staff.
• Provide leadership through trainings, workshops, and attendance at extramural events.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and make purchasing recommendations.
• Act as risk manager, updating safety policies and procedures as needed.
• Assist in budget development and administration; contribute to strategic planning.
