Job summary

Hayden Industrial in Tulsa seeks an experienced Buyer to source, purchase, and ensure timely delivery of quality materials for production. You will manage suppliers, negotiate terms, and drive cost savings while aligning procurement with production planning.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to optimize inventory and improve supply chain processes. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential to uphold quality, on-time delivery, and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Familiarity with manufacturing materials and high-performance industrial products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with imports and customs clearance.
• Experience with cost management, budgeting, and inventory control.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to procurement.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet production and operational requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
• Collaborate with production planning and operations teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels and avoid shortages or excess stock.
• Identify and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, and cost data to drive informed decisions.
• Work with engineering, production, finance, and logistics teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
