Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a purchasing role within the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in supply chain management, inventory management, and purchase management.
• Solid understanding of ITAR, NADCAP, and AS9100 regulations.
• Proven track record in cost analysis and negotiation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to predict and navigate potential risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the purchasing of all raw materials, components, and other supplies required for production.
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, improve prices, and set up terms of payment.
• Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with ITAR, NADCAP, and AS9100 regulations.
• Work closely with the production and engineering teams to understand their material requirements and ensure their needs are met.
• Analyze and predict potential risks and issues with the supply chain and implement proactive solutions.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock at all times.
• Regularly review and update the company's purchase policies and procedures.
• Conduct cost analysis to identify areas of potential savings and efficiency improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with market trends and advancements in the manufacturing industry.
