Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Senior Buyer to optimize purchasing for raw materials, outside services, equipment, and supplies. You will analyze demand, prepare bids, and select vendors while negotiating favorable terms to support production and operations.

Responsibilities include managing KanBAN-based orders, supplier audits, forecasting material needs, and ensuring timely deliveries to production. Strong negotiation, ERP, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 5 years of applicable experience required (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Advanced skills in supplier negotiations including price, delivery/MOQ/lead times, and payment terms.
• Experience with Consignment & Supplier Inventory and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze demand to build purchase orders for production using KanBans and consignment where applicable.
• Negotiate cost reductions with suppliers and select suppliers based on research and past performance.
• Support new product builds and machine maintenance by sourcing materials and managing deliveries to meet timelines.
• Perform supplier visits and audits to maximize inventory turns and minimize lead times.
• Provide forecasts by converting sales demand into material demand using BOMs and yield.
