Job summary

Confidential Client is seeking a Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to lead and transform the tax function for a renewable infrastructure program. This role guides complex tax decisions, partners with non-tax stakeholders, and shapes the future-state of indirect tax in a rapidly growing environment.

Reporting to the Head of Indirect Tax, you will build scalable processes, strengthen controls, and manage relationships with finance, legal, procurement, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Deep U.S. sales and use tax expertise.
• Experience supporting construction, infrastructure, or project-based businesses.
• Strong taxability research and analysis capabilities.
• Experience advising on complex transaction structures and indirect tax risk.
• Process improvement and automation mindset.
• Ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax partners.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor for complex sales and use tax matters, including taxability analysis and exemption strategies.
• Lead day-to-day indirect tax function, overseeing workloads and staff development.
• Collaborate with business leaders to evaluate tax implications of construction and procurement activities.
• Drive process improvements across indirect tax compliance, accruals, audits, and tech usage.
• Research and document positions on multi-state sales/use tax matters for stakeholders.
