Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to lead U.S. indirect tax compliance, advisory, and process improvements. The role focuses on sales and use tax, with construction-industry nuance, and requires coordinating with Accounting, Legal, Procurement, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Business, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive tax experience, including U.S. sales and use tax.
• Experience in construction, engineering, EPC, infrastructure, or project-based industries.
• Strong knowledge of nexus, sourcing, taxability, exemptions, resale, and use tax accruals.
• Experience with ERP systems, tax engines, and tax compliance tech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead U.S. sales and use tax compliance, returns, payments, and reporting.
• Oversee preparation and review of returns to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage use tax accrual processes and self-assessment requirements.
• Review accounts, accruals, and support financial reporting.
• Develop taxability positions and maintain taxability matrices.
• Lead tax technology and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance to Procurement, Accounts Payable, Legal, Operations, and projects.
