Job summary

Morgan Stanley seeks a Firmwide Sourcing Lead to manage indirect sourcing, focusing on Travel, Printing and Distribution. Role involves advising stakeholders, developing category strategies and negotiating favorable terms to maximize value while mitigating risk.

The position requires collaboration with Finance, Legal and Compliance, driving supplier engagements and ensuring robust Source-to-Pay processes. Office location at a future date with potential remote start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years relevant experience in Indirect sourcing positions.
• Experience in Category Management and running complex RFPs.
• Subject matter expertise in Travel, Printing and Distribution and/or Marketing and Business Development Sourcing.
• Commercial negotiation and influencing skills to drive savings and deliver value to stakeholders.
• Experience in contract interpretation, analysis and drafting across Master and Sub-Agreements.
• Strong Sourcing skills and ability to execute across Source to Pay lifecycle.
• Experience using procurement tools such as Ariba or Coupa.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and work with technology colleagues.
• Develop sound sourcing and commodity strategies that drive business value and mitigate risk.
• Maximize commercial impact through bids and benchmarking/advisory.
• Facilitate new supplier engagements and renewals with focus on categories and strategic suppliers.
• Analyze supplier proposals and negotiate best-in-class contract terms and value.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal and Compliance to draft and execute contracts.
• Complete documentation and system requirements to enable the Source to Pay process.
