Job summary

Morgan Stanley seeks a Firmwide Sourcing Lead to manage Indirect sourcing, including Travel and Print/Distribution, across the Corporate Services division. The role collaborates with Finance, Legal and Compliance to finalize contracts and optimize the Source to Pay lifecycle. Office location is Dallas, with potential remote start until the office is ready.

You will develop category strategies, run large RFPs, and negotiate terms with strategic suppliers to maximize value and mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6+ years in Indirect sourcing.
• Experience in Category Management and running complex RFPs.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to drive savings.

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Firmwide Sourcing Lead to be responsible for managing Indirect sourcing activities. Commodities include Travel and Shareholder Materials Printing and Distribution.In the Corporate Services division, we empower our businesses by creating collaborative workplace solutions and commercial services that enhance the employee and client experience, while optimizing the value of our sourcing and third-party lifecycle to enable the Firm to do-and-win business.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What you'll do in the role:- Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and work collaboratively with technology colleagues- Develop sound sourcing and commodity strategies that drive business value and mitigate risk- Maximize commercial impact through use of competitive bids and benchmarking/advisory- Facilitate new supplier engagements and service/product renewals with a focus on the assigned category and strategic suppliers- Analyze supplier proposals and negotiate best in class contract terms and value proposition Work cross-functionally Finance, Legal and Compliance to draft and execute contracts- Complete documentation and system requirements as required to enable the Source to Pay processWhat you'll bring to the role:- Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years relevant experience in Indirect sourcing positions.- Experience in Category Management and running complex RFPs- Able to demonstrate subject matter expertise in at least one or more commodity areas:* Experience in the execution of large and complex Travel, Printing and Distribution Agreements and/or Marketing and Business Development Sourcing, or* Experience in the execution of large and complex travel agreements , with demonstrated thought leadership in designated categories.- Commercial negotiation and influencing skills to drive savings and deliver value to stakeholders- Experience in contract interpretation, analysis and drafting across Master and Sub-Agreements- Strong Sourcing skills and the ability to execute across all elements of the Source to Manage lifecycle.- Have experience using procurement tools such as Ariba or Coupa- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skillsThe position’s work location will be 1445 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75202 at a future date. The role may begin remotely until the office location becomes available.
