Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center in San Francisco, CA seeks an experienced Executive Director to oversee finances, programs, staff, operations, transportation, property and community relations. This role includes supervision of the residential treatment program, detox services, and the Harbor House shelter.

Key duties include coordinating with licensing agencies, managing budgets, and presenting financial reports to leaders and partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or related field (required).
• 5+ years management experience in the nonprofit sector at the agency director level.
• CA driver’s license required.
• First Aid and CPR certification within first 14 days of employment.
• Tuberculosis clearance within first 7 days of employment.
• Experience with substance abuse, mental illness, or related barriers to self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all finances, programs, staff, operations, transportation, property, and community relations for Harbor Light Center.
• Supervise the six-month residential substance abuse treatment program and Recovery Wellness Services (detox).
• Supervise Harbor House family shelter operations.
• Coordinate financial matters with the HLC Business Director and DHQ finance team.
• Prepare annual budget for CFC approval.
• Share monthly and quarterly financial reports with program directors.
