Job summary

The Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Center is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Center's operations in Houston, TX. The role focuses on strategic leadership, program oversight, safety, and community engagement to advance youth outcomes.

The incumbent will drive fundraising, budget management, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring sustainable operations and mission alignment with organizational standards and community needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible operational leadership experience.
• Experience managing budgets up to $500,000 is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of training and work experience also considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Red Shield Youth Center in alignment with its mission.
• Lead safety, planning, and leadership for programs and services.
• Develop and manage finances, budgets, reporting, and fundraising strategies.
• Build partnerships with community leaders, donors and stakeholders.
