The State of Ohio's Department of Rehabilitation and Correction seeks an HR Assistant to support the personnel director at a Chillicothe institution. You will handle HR actions, position descriptions, interviews, and leave processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with civil service rules.

You will also assist with payroll for off-work programs, audits, and documentation for metrics and reporting. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and teamwork within a state government

Formación

• 2 yrs. exp. in human resources.
• Undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration.
• 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.
• Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Responsabilidades

• Composes and processes personnel actions (epar).
• Prepares and updates position descriptions.
• Schedules interviews and participates in preliminary screening and/or interviewing of applicants.
• Assists with preparing responses to requests for reasonable accommodation.
• Coordinates, tracks processes, approves and advises regarding performance evaluations.
• Assists employees with identifying, completing and/or faxing forms and applications.
• Prepares Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) reports as needed.
• Responds to routine correspondence from employees.
• Assists with gathering documentation for audits, grievances, lawsuits and requests for public information.
• Monitors OPERS electronic contributions.
