Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a strategic Sr. Manager, HRIS & Operations to own and advance our HRIS portfolio and core HR processes. You will lead data governance, analytics, and system improvements to deliver a superior employee experience.

Collaborating across HR, Finance, Payroll and Technology, you will drive large-scale implementations, optimize processes, and ensure privacy and security compliance while guiding change and adoption across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field required.
• 5+ years in HRIS, HR Operations or related HR tech function; at least 3 years in HRIS management/implementation.
• Experience as system owner or lead administrator for an enterprise HRIS (Workday, UKG, ADP, Oracle, SAP or comparable).
• Proven success leading HR technology implementations and process improvements.
• Strong understanding of HR operations, lifecycle processes and data management.
• Experience developing dashboards, reporting and workforce analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of HR compliance, data privacy and governance best practices.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the HRIS and related technologies, ensuring performance, data integrity, security and privacy compliance.
• Lead system enhancements, upgrades, integrations and vendor partnerships.
• Evaluate and implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency and employee experience.
• Oversee employee data, audits and process consistency with HR Centers of Excellence.
• Lead HR technology and operational improvement initiatives from planning through implementation and adoption.
• Manage timelines, testing, training and change activities, translating business needs into practical solutions with measurable results.
• Play a leading role in replacing the organization’s current legacy HR system, guiding the project from evaluation and planning through implementation, adoption and stabilization.
• Deliver dashboards, reports and workforce insights that support strategic decisions and organizational effectiveness.
• Maintain HR data governance standards, controls and documentation, and champion responsible use of AI-enabled tools and analytics.
• Create training and self-service resources, using support trends to reduce manual work and improve service delivery.
