The Fire Department, City of New York (FDNY) seeks a full-time HR Talent Specialist in the Bureau of Human Resources. The role supports hiring managers by creating and modifying job descriptions, conducting job analyses, and posting vacancies in accordance with DCAS Title Specifications.

Reporting to the Deputy Director and collaborating with the Chief HR Officer, this position processes PARs for EMS, Uniform and civilian vacancies, reviews resumes, maintains HR systems, and prepares routine HR

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of clerical experience.
• Typing at least 100 keystrokes per minute.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with hiring managers to create and modify job descriptions per DCAS Title Specifications.
• Conduct job analysis for vacancies prior to posting and PAR preparation.
• Prepare postings, assess descriptions and required skills for vacancies.
• Prepare PARs for EMS, Uniform and civilian vacancies, including blanket PARs.
• Vet candidate resumes and assist with status updates and correspondence to bureaus.
