Job summary

San Bernardino County is seeking an experienced Human Resources Project Manager to support HR leadership in driving workforce innovation and implementing projects and platforms such as an HRIS and onboarding technologies.

The successful candidate will manage full project lifecycles, coordinate with IT, HR and vendors, and develop training materials to enable successful deployment and adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• Two years of full-time project management experience in HR or public sector.
• Experience coordinating HR programs (benefits, employment, employee relations, etc.) in a public sector agency.

Responsibilities

• Manage start-to-finish project lifecycles, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to identify, prioritize, and execute strategic HR projects that align with organizational goals.
• Analyze current HR processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
• Coordinate with IT, HR, and external vendors to ensure project success.
• Plan, organize and direct special events.
• Develop and distribute RFPs, evaluate proposals and select sites/vendors; review contracts and assist with negotiations.
• Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for new programs and initiatives.
• Develop training materials and resources to support implementation of new systems.
• Evaluate project outcomes, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
