Job summary

nVent in Houston, TX seeks an HR professional to partner with Payroll, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, and site leadership to support workforce needs and drive continuous improvement at the facility. The role focuses on employee relations, onboarding, investigations, and culture initiatives.

Responsibilities include coaching leaders on performance, managing workplace matters, and driving HR harmonization post-acquisition to align with company programs and practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years HR experience required.
• Knowledge of pay and employment laws, practices, and legal requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to collaborate across levels.
• Ability to provide data-driven insights and constructively challenge decisions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Payroll, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, and site leadership to resolve employee needs and support continuous improvement at the facility.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees and leaders on HR policies, workplace concerns, and day-to-day needs.
• Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding.
• Conduct workplace investigations with HR leadership and other resources as needed.
• Coach leaders through performance management, attendance, disciplinary actions, and employee concerns.
• Support engagement, retention, training, and culture initiatives that strengthen the employee experience.
• Drive HR harmonization post-acquisition by implementing programs and supporting leaders and employees through the transition.
