Job summary

SEIU Local 2015 in California seeks a Human Resources Partner to act as a strategic advisor to leaders and staff. You will develop people strategies that boost engagement, effectiveness, leadership capability, and workforce performance while upholding our mission and values.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will guide employee relations, labor relations, performance management, and organizational development, ensuring compliance with laws and CBAs in a fast-paced union

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience with demonstrated expertise in employee relations, labor relations, performance management, and organizational consulting.
• Experience partnering with managers and leaders to resolve complex employee relations matters and build high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of federal, California, and local employment laws and Human Resources best practices.
• Experience supporting workplace investigations, conflict resolution, performance coaching, and corrective action processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to organizational effectiveness, continuous improvement, and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders to align people strategies with organizational priorities and business objectives.
• Provide coaching and consultation to managers on leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, team dynamics, and organizational culture.
• Support workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
• Identify workforce trends and recommend proactive people solutions that support organizational success.
• Interpret and apply CBAs in partnership with union leadership and organizational leaders.
• Support grievance administration and facilitate proactive resolution of workplace issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure consistent application of employment policies and labor agreements.
