Job summary

Hamilton Families in San Francisco seeks a Director of People & Culture to lead HR strategy and operations across a multi-site organization. You will partner with the CPCO to advance employee engagement, equity, and organizational effectiveness in a union environment.

The role oversees talent acquisition, development, performance, and compliance while building capacity and reporting through HRIS and data analytics. Eligible for a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Progressive HR experience with leadership in strategy, operations, and compliance.
• Experience in labor relations and union environments, including CBAs.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to shape people strategies across a multi-site organization.
• Lead union-related activities, including negotiations and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits, and development.
• Guide policy development and ensure consistent application across the organization.
• Maintain HR systems, data integrity, reporting, and workforce insights.
• Ensure legal compliance with EEO, FMLA, FLSA and related regulations.
• Foster equity, inclusion, and a mission-driven workplace culture.
