The Human Resources Partner (HRP) serves as a strategic advisor and trusted business partner to leaders and staff across SEIU Local 2015. This role partners with organizational leadership to develop people strategies that strengthen employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and workforce performance while supporting the union's mission, vision, and values.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Partner provides expert guidance in employee relations, labor relations, performance management, organizational development, workforce planning, and change management. This position collaborates closely with leadership to cultivate an inclusive, high-performing workplace while ensuring compliance with employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, and organizational policies.
Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders while aligning people strategies with organizational goals.
Ability to effectively manage complex employee relations matters while balancing organizational needs, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
Ability to coach, influence, and develop leaders to strengthen team performance and employee engagement.
Ability to facilitate difficult conversations, mediate workplace conflict, and promote collaborative problem-solving.
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and with empathy across all levels of the organization.
Ability to identify workforce challenges and implement practical solutions that improve organizational performance.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.

This position operates in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where work schedules may occasionally extend beyond standard business hours to support organizational priorities, including evenings or weekends when necessary.
Periodic travel throughout California may be required to support regional offices, leadership meetings, employee relations matters, trainings, and organizational initiatives.
