Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to partner with employees and operational leaders to execute HR initiatives, ensure compliance, and strengthen engagement. This hands-on role is based on-site at Wallops Island, VA, or Virginia Beach, VA.

The successful candidate will use data and technology to improve HR service delivery, support workforce development, and respond to changing priorities in a dynamic environment. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience across multiple disciplines.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and policy application.
• Self-starter who can manage day-to-day HR tasks independently and drive initiatives to completion.
• Proficient in HRIS platforms, MS Excel, and digital collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact, build trusted relationships with employees, leaders, and partners.
• Provide professional-level HR support across employee relations, performance, compensation, and compliance.
• Coach managers on employee relations, policy application, and investigations in partnership with HR leadership.
• Manage onboarding, transitions, and exit processes with accurate records and timely HR system updates.
• Assist with payroll and benefits inquiries, collaborating with Benefits and Payroll to resolve issues.
