Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an experienced HR leader to provide full-scope HR leadership for a fast-paced, multi-site operation centered in Hanover, MD, with national coverage. The role emphasizes credibility with leaders and frontline employees, balancing strategic people priorities with day-to-day operational needs.

You will partner with leaders to address workforce planning, talent assessment, succession planning, and employee relations, while ensuring compliance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent directly relevant experience.
• 7+ years’ progressive experience in HR business partner/generalist roles advising leaders.
• 2+ years’ experience providing HR leadership in complex operational environments.
• Demonstrated ability translating business needs into actionable HR strategies.
• Knowledge of state and federal labor laws with ability to apply in complex situations; ability to obtain SECRET clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to understand objectives and develop HR solutions that boost capability and engagement.
• Coach leaders to communicate priorities, set expectations, provide resources, and hold teams accountable.
• Guide managers on performance, career development, and retention matters.
• Act as employee advocate and address relations issues with practical, compliant solutions.
• Lead staffing collaboration with Talent Acquisition across full-time, temporary, technical, and trades roles.
• Travel quarterly to sites nationwide to assess needs and provide guidance.
