Job summary

Atmos Energy in Johnson City, TN seeks an HR Generalist to guide employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation. You will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, compensation reviews, and annual HR processes, while ensuring compliance with FMLA/ADA and company policies.

You will partner with leaders and Shared Services HR to support leaves, unemployment claims, and effective communications. Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field with two years HR admin experience.
• Alternatively GED with four years HR admin experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Respond to inquiries and coordinate with Shared Services HR.
• Support recruitment/onboarding and advise on compensation based on market data.
• Coordinate annual HR processes (performance management, open enrollment, etc.).
• Oversee leaves of absence processes and ADA/FMLA compliance.
• Coordinate unemployment claims/hearings and assist with related processes.
• Develop HR communications and trainings; monitor policy changes.
• Support HR and business initiatives and stay updated on HR regulations.
