Job summary

Atmos Energy is seeking an HR professional to provide guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, and performance management. The role supports recruitment, onboarding, compensation reviews, and job description updates, while coordinating annual HR processes and recognition programs.

Candidate will oversee leaves of absence, ADA/FMLA compliance, and liaise with vendors. Occasional unemployment claim support and participation in company trainings are also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field with two years HR experience.
• Or GED with four years progressive HR experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate with internal/external customers on technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation and recommendations based on policy and practice.
• Respond to inquiries, provide consultative services, and coordinate with Shared Services HR to resolve escalated issues.
• Support recruitment and onboarding; review compensation using external market data and internal equity; update job descriptions as needed.
• Coordinate annual HR processes including performance management, open enrollment, and recognition programs.
• Oversee leaves of absence ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance (FMLA/ADA). Partner with stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues.
• Assist unemployment claims and proceedings; represent the company in unemployment hearings.
• Coordinate drug/alcohol and motor vehicle programs as needed with Shared Services HR and Safety.
• Develop HR communications and trainings for leadership and employees.
