Job summary

Burnett Specialists Staffing | Recruiting in Houston, TX seeks an HR Business Partner to provide operational HR support and strategic partnership across departments. You will advise leadership on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and compliance while fostering a positive employee experience.

Travel to assigned locations, participate in on-call HR support, and assist with training, recruitment, and HR reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience with emphasis on employee relations and performance management.
• Experience with workplace investigations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment practices, and applicable employment laws.
• Experience advising managers and leadership on employee relations and performance issues.
• Experience with HRIS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted HR advisor to managers and leadership on employee relations and performance management matters.
• Provide coaching and guidance on performance, counseling, corrective action, and career development.
• Investigate employee concerns and workplace issues as needed.
• Partner with leadership on disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, employment laws, and workplace procedures.
• Support leadership with employee assessments, succession planning, and performance management.
• Review and oversee personnel actions and performance reviews in coordination with payroll and HR functions.
• Participate in recruitment initiatives and New Hire Orientation as needed.
