Job summary

Neighborhood Health is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner in Alexandria, VA to support the HR Director with recruitment, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and employee relations. The role is onsite in Alexandria and focuses on policy implementation, compliance, and staff development.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in HR, including generalist experience, with a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related fields. Experience in nonprofits and payroll is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or similar field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a Generalist role.
• Experience in mid-sized nonprofit environment and payroll processing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment and selection processes, onboarding and termination activities.
• Develop and implement HR policies, drive employee relations and investigations as needed.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment, retirement plan oversight, and ERISA reporting.
• Assist with payroll processes and tax reporting in collaboration with Finance.
