Job summary

Willmeng Construction, Inc. seeks an experienced HR advisor to partner with leadership across Phoenix projects, guiding workforce planning, onboarding, performance support, and employee relations with care and accountability.

You will influence leaders, balance people needs with business goals, and ensure consistent policy application while supporting growth and organizational change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience in construction, skilled trades, or field-based environments preferred.
• Strong leadership coaching and relationship-building skills.
• Sound judgment handling employee relations and sensitive issues.
• Ability to influence leaders with empathy and accountability.
• Business acumen with ability to link people strategy to operational outcomes.
• Comfort working across field and office environments.
• HR knowledge of employment law and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business needs and workforce plans.
• Coach leaders through performance management, team dynamics, and difficult people matters.
• Support workforce planning, onboarding, and capacity planning.
• Guide on fair, consistent policy applications and people practices.
• Handle employee relations, investigations, and risk mitigation.
• Identify team needs and organizational challenges impacting engagement.
• Support change management tied to growth and new ways of working.
• Develop relationships across jobsites and offices to surface concerns.
