Job summary

OPENLANE in Carmel, IN seeks a seasoned HR Manager to partner with leadership on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and change initiatives. You will support engagement and a positive work environment.

This hybrid role requires onsite Tuesday–Thursday at the Carmel HQ. You will guide leaders on coaching, investigations, onboarding/offboarding, and deploying COE programs to improve retention and drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma with an HR focus.
• At least 5 years in Human Resources, including 3 years in a management or HRBP role.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
• A high degree of discretion in handling confidential matters.
• Strong critical thinking ability and applying principles and best practices.
• Proven ability to analyze HR metrics to identify trends and provide insights.

Responsibilities

• Guide people leaders in performance management, including coaching and development plans.
• Respond to employee relations concerns and conduct investigations as needed.
• Support onboarding and offboarding, including involuntary separations.
• Drive adoption of COE programs and leadership through calibration sessions.
• Identify talent needs with hiring managers and support onboarding of new hires.
• Review promotions and compensation changes following established procedures.
• Champion the employee experience and retention aligned with OPENLANE values.
• Establish positive employer-employee relationships and promote trust.
• Conduct exit interviews and provide turnover insights to management.
• Deliver training for talent management programs and coaching.
• Find opportunities to continuously improve people programs.
