Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans LLC seeks an HR People Consultant to serve as a strategic and operational partner across designated business areas. The role provides expert guidance on People & Tech policies, organizational design, talent development, and associate relations.

The consultant coaches leaders, mitigates risk, and drives initiatives to strengthen our employer-of-choice position. The role emphasizes partnering with leaders, driving workforce strategies, ensuring compliance, and supporting audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 5–7 years progressive HR experience.
• HR business partnering and employee relations experience.
• Knowledge of compensation, benefits, talent management, and HRIS.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on employee relations issues including conflict resolution and policy interpretation.
• Translate workforce trends into workforce strategies and plans.
• Conduct investigations into harassment, discrimination, and related claims.
• Coordinate employment-related actions with security, BPO, and Legal as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws and internal policies.
• Provide guidance on organizational structure, job design, and headcount planning.
• Lead change management and associated communications.
• Prepare reports and support audits of People & Tech programs.
• Coordinate training sessions on People & Tech policies and processes.
• Advise on talent strategy including succession planning and leadership development.
