Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Vans LLC in Charleston, SC seeks a People Project Management Specialist to plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional HR projects that improve organizational effectiveness and service delivery. You will manage projects from scoping through closeout, partnering with People leadership and external resources to implement sustainable HR solutions aligned with strategy.

Responsibilities include developing project plans, tracking actions, guiding stakeholders, and ensuring timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive People & Tech experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects from planning through implementation.
• Experience in a manufacturing, operational, or international business environment preferred.
• PM or process-improvement certification (PMP, CAPM, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead HR projects from initiation through implementation and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project plans, action trackers, risk assessments and status reports.
• Coordinate project responsibilities across HR functions and business stakeholders.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, dependencies, and escalation needs.
• Provide timely updates to HR and leadership, sponsors, and steering groups.
• Assess HR programs, policies, systems, and workflows for gaps and improvements.
• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and document decisions with owners and due dates.
• Support implementation of new HR programs, processes, and communications.
• Coordinate testing, training, and transition-to-operations activities.
• Analyze project data to evaluate progress and drive corrective actions.
• Manage external vendors and resources as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in project-management practices.
