The role leads personnel management, recruitment, benefits administration, training, and records management, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity across all HR processes. Expect collaboration with leadership and ongoing policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, management, public administration, or human resources.
• Three years proven work as HR Specialist or other HR experience administering human resources functions.

Responsibilities

• Implement and update Personnel Policies in the annual cycle.
• Ensure employment practices are in compliance with local, state and federal laws, such as EEO and FLSA.
• Coordinate all hiring processes including job postings, recruitment, interviews, and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with P.L. 101-630 and fingerprinting/background checks.
• Maintain personnel records and required documentation (I-9, licenses, benefits).
• Determine suitability of candidates through adjudication processes.
• Develop professional development plans for departments.
• Coordinate compensation, benefits, 401(k), health and life insurance programs.
• Conduct annual salary surveys and update salary scales.
• Develop and evaluate the personnel evaluation program.
• Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding.
• Handle disputes and grievances per policy.
• Review/update job descriptions with supervisors.
• Oversee exit interviews and maintain school directory/org charts.
• Participate in administrative leadership team meetings.
• Attend meetings as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Support planning, implementation and evaluation of programs.
