Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking a Human Resource Manager for Stafford Creek Corrections Center in Aberdeen, WA. This full-time, in-office role requires strong HR leadership, program oversight, and policy interpretation to support appointing authorities, managers, and HR consultants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of professional HR experience with at least three HR areas.
• One year of supervising HR staff.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee complex HR programs per policy, laws, and CBAs.
• Provide direction on policy, collective bargaining agreements, and labor law.
• Supervise professional HR staff and coach/mentor team members.
• Develop standards and methods to train and support managers and staff.
• Respond to grievances and participate in related processes.
