The American Lung Association is seeking a Manager, Human Resources to advise leaders on employee relations, performance, compensation and HR policy. The role combines advisory work with hands-on HR processes, including HRIS data and salary administration, in a Chicago hybrid setting.

You will guide talent development and organizational effectiveness while partnering with the CHRO on complex matters and regulatory risk across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, organizational development, or related field; Master’s degree or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive HR experience with employee relations advisory on performance and discipline.
• Strong knowledge of compensation practices, internal equity, and market data.
• Knowledge of HR laws across jurisdictions with sound advisory judgment.

Responsabilités

• Serve as HR advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance, talent development, and compliance.
• Balance advisory work with salary administration, HRIS workflows, data and reporting.
• Lead HR initiatives from assessment through implementation with risk management.
• Educate leaders to ensure fair, consistent employment decisions.
