Job summary

Hanwha Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia is seeking an experienced HR leader to partner with the VP of Human Resources and drive talent development, engagement, and core HR initiatives across the organization. The role leads a team responsible for employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and compliance with employment laws while stewarding the HR budget and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related discipline.
• SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive HR leadership experience; 7-10 years in HR.
• Previous labor relations experience preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, HR practices, policies, and employment laws.
• Experience leading teams, projects, and organizational initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the VP of HR to drive talent development and core HR initiatives.
• Lead HR team handling employee relations, succession planning, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Oversee performance reviews, talent mobility, and leadership assessments.
• Plan and monitor the HR department budget.
• Develop HR metrics and workforce analytics to mitigate risk.
• Foster HPSI culture, vision, and values across the organization.
• Manage exit interviews and investigations of employee concerns.
