Job summary

Hanwha Philly Shipyard is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruiting for skilled trades and manufacturing roles in Philadelphia. You will build talent pipelines for welders, shipbuilders, outfitters, and machine operators, and develop sourcing strategies across shipbuilding, manufacturing, construction, and related industries.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in an agency, corporate, or industrial recruiting environment.
• Proven success proactively sourcing and recruiting candidates for difficult-to-fill positions, including engaging passive talent through direct outreach and networking.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively partner with hiring managers and candidates.
• Experience building talent pipelines through trade schools, apprenticeship programs, workforce development organizations, or community partnerships.
• Experience with assessing technical qualifications and labor market conditions to inform recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain sustainable talent pipelines for skilled trades.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract workers from shipbuilding, manufacturing, construction, and related industries.
• Screen and evaluate candidates for technical skills and alignment with position requirements.
• Coordinate and facilitate interviews, assessments, and shipyard tours as needed.
• Present qualified candidates with clear assessments and recommendations to hiring managers.
• Maintain candidate records and recruit metrics to track time-to-fill and sourcing effectiveness.
• Represent Hanwha Philly Shipyard at career fairs and industry events.
