Job summary

Wabash in Harrison, AR is seeking a Human Resources Manager to partner with site leadership and strengthen people strategy and day-to-day HR execution onsite.

You will lead the local HR team, guide organizational change using Lean Enterprise principles, oversee recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and develop HR KPI tracking to predict outcomes. This is an onsite role requiring deep manufacturing experience and a strong ability to coach leaders across functions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of general HR experience, including 3+ years as a site-wide HR leader.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
• At least 3 years of supervisory/management experience with a large staff.
• SPHR/PHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
• Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary business partner to site leadership, translating business goals and objectives into well aligned HR initiatives.
• Lead the local Human Resources team and provide direction and counsel to manufacturing site leaders on policies and procedures, including day-to-day issues, professional development, employee morale, discipline, and performance management.
• Lead and/or manage courageously during organizational change, taking appropriate risks, energizing teams, and encouraging others to do the same to support company priorities.
• Apply Lean Enterprise principles within HR by evaluating the efficiency, effectiveness, and value add of HR tools and programs.
• Use HR expertise across recruitment, investigations, discipline, employee development, communications, performance management, succession planning, and HR policies and procedures.
• Engage and influence leaders in strategic discussions, challenge current thinking, and help lead change in behaviors.
• Proactively support communication and implementation of key business initiatives.
• Participate in and partner with community organizations and events to promote corporate citizenship.
• Develop and maintain HR KPI tracking and reporting designed to measure and predict HR outcomes.
• Complete HR policy, procedure, and program implementation and handle other duties as assigned.
