Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Human Resources Manager to serve as a strategic business partner to the plant leadership team, delivering HR leadership, guidance, and support to align HR initiatives with operational goals and drive a high-performance culture.

The role encompasses staffing, onboarding, payroll records, compliance, employee relations, and development initiatives across manufacturing teams, with supervision of HR staff and collaboration with Corporate HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience including supervisory/management roles.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS and federal/state HR laws.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site operations leaders to design proactive employee relations programs.
• Develop and execute strategies to attract, hire, and retain talent across all levels.
• Lead staffing and recruitment activities, including manpower planning and full-cycle recruiting.
• Oversee onboarding, background checks, and new hire paperwork.
• Maintain HR systems and payroll records; ensure compliance.
• Handle leaves, unemployment claims, and policy compliance.
• Provide guidance on investigations and issue resolution.
• Lead training and development, including performance reviews and leadership development.
• Administer corrective action processes aligned with company values.
• Collaborate with Corporate HR on communications, benefits, and policy development.
• Manage local compensation programs and annual increase recommendations.
• Support benefits administration and inquiries.
• Coordinate with cross-site HR teams on projects.
• Provide leadership to HR staff and oversee engagement events.
