Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking an HR professional to support employment, policy interpretation, and employee relations while ensuring accurate record-keeping for personnel files. The role includes developing effective recruitment strategies for both exempt and nonexempt positions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years of HR management experience, preferably with exposure to a union environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resource management, administration, or other applicable degree program.
• Five years progressively responsible human resources management experience. One year of experience in an environment with a union presence preferable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and State laws.
• Computer proficiency to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, and HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of employment, Policy & Procedure interpretation, day-to-day employee relations, and record-keeping/compliance for employee files.
• Recruitment and selection of exempt and nonexempt positions by development of effective recruitment strategies.
