Job summary

Vast is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to support the Staff Employee Relations Manager in building and maintaining effective employee relations programs, processes, and practices in a fast-growing environment.

The role requires handling investigations, policy administration, and compliance activities, with a focus on confidentiality and sound judgment across multiple cases in Long Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in employee relations or related HR field.
• Experience supporting or conducting workplace investigations.
• Working knowledge of federal and California employment laws (EEO, ADA, FMLA/CFRA, FLSA).

Responsibilities

• Support Manager of Employee Relations in handling cases from intake to resolution.
• Conduct and assist with workplace investigations, including interviews and documentation.
• Prepare case summaries and timelines for review by stakeholders.
• Maintain confidential case files and track outcomes.
• Provide guidance to managers on policies and escalation procedures.
• Assist with policy reviews, compliance audits, and reporting.
