Job summary

The Department of Community Health is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Director to provide strategic oversight of OHR and OFSS. You will lead talent management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and analytics to support agency goals in a hybrid work environment with in-office requirements in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
• At least five years of professional-level HR management experience.
• Master's degree preferred; SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and policy development aligned with agency goals.
• Oversee talent management, recruitment, succession planning and development.
• Foster positive employee relations and engagement across the department.
• Oversee compensation, benefits administration and policy compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; manage risk and audits.
• Develop and oversee learning and development programs to build leadership capacity.
• Manage HR operations, analytics and reporting to guide decision-making.
• Oversee Facilities and Support Services and ensure safe, compliant operations.
