The State of Georgia's Department of Human Services is seeking a Senior HR Manager to be based in Atlanta. This role partners with agency leadership to deliver comprehensive HR services, workforce planning, and compliance across divisions, guiding talent strategies in a fast-paced government environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and five (5) years of managerial or supervisory experience in human resources; Or Two (2) years of experience required at the lower-level Manager 2, Human Resources (HRM011); OR Position equivalent.
• Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.
• Experience interpreting and applying federal and state employment laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsabilités

• Under the direction of the Senior HR Director, the Senior HR Manager provides comprehensive human resources services to an assigned client population.
• The Senior HR Manager serves as a strategic business partner, supporting organizational goals through effective human capital management, employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
• This position provides consultative guidance to leadership and staff on complex HR matters and ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• The Senior HR Manager collaborates with agency leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that promote operational effectiveness, excellence, and a positive work environment in a fast-paced environment.
• Serve as a strategic HR business partner to assigned divisions and leadership teams.
• Oversee onboarding, promotions, transfers, reassignments, and separation processes in compliance with agency procedures and applicable laws.
