Job summary

Department of Community Health seeks a seasoned Human Resources Director to oversee strategic HR operations, including OHR and OFSS, ensuring policy alignment with Georgia state government goals. You will lead talent management, compensation, compliance and analytics in a large, complex organization.

This role requires the ability to partner with executive leadership, manage change, and drive a positive culture while coordinating with facilities and support services in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in human resources, business administration, or related field with at least five years of professional HR management experience.
• Experience in leading HR programs within a large, complex organization; state government experience is a plus.
• Master's degree and SHRM/HR certification preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning and change management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of OHR and OFSS.
• Develop and implement HR policies aligned with agency goals.
• Lead talent management, recruitment, and succession planning.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, compliance, and risk management.
• Ensure learning and development and HR analytics.
• Oversee facilities and support services in coordination with HR.
