Job summary

Northwestern Community Services Board seeks a Human Resources Director to serve on the Executive Leadership Team and lead the HR Department. This role oversees recruiting, performance management, benefits and compensation, legal compliance, employee relations, policy development, and risk management.

The Director acts as liaison to the Board HR Committee and coaches the HR team. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will guide communications, culture, leadership development, and strategic HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in HR/related field with experience in HR operations.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification within two years of hire.
• Extensive knowledge of HR practices, laws, and best practice.
• At least three years of supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to provide transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR department and supervise HR team, reporting to Executive Director.
• Oversee recruiting, performance management, benefits, compensation, and risk management.
• Develop policies, training, and development programs; ensure legal compliance.
• Coordinate reporting to the Board’s HR Committee and advise on staff relations.
• Plan workforce strategies, communications, culture, and internal messaging.
