Job summary

DivergeIT, Inc. is seeking an experienced Director of HR to own and scale the people function as the company grows from its current size to 300+ employees.

This hands-on leadership role will set strategy, build the team, and implement systems to support rapid expansion, with initial 100% onsite work for 90 days and then primarily onsite in Torrance, CA or Plano, TX. You will lead HR operations, talent acquisition, onboarding and training, performance and retention, and acquisition integration

Qualifications

• 7+ years of HR experience with increasing responsibility.
• 2+ years leading an HR function.
• Experience scaling a company from under 100 to 300+ employees, ideally under private equity ownership.
• Hands-on M&A integration experience.
• Strong California and Texas employment law knowledge, plus multi-state compliance.
• Experience hiring technical talent; MSP or IT services background a plus.
• Ability to explain equity incentive programs clearly to employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR team, including HR Generalist / HRBP, Receptionist / HR Admins, and Trainer (to be hired).
• Own talent acquisition—recruit and hire technical and sales talent; own time to fill and quality of hire.
• Oversee onboarding and training via Trainual; ensure content is current and managers are accountable.
• Run quarterly KPI scorecard, review cycles, retention efforts, and report people metrics to leadership and board.
• Lead people-side of acquisitions, including due diligence, offers, benefits mapping, staff retention, onboarding.
• Maintain compliance and employee relations across all states with employees; update handbook and policies.
• Hire and coach to core values as the company scales.
