Job summary

Niyam IT in Fairfax, VA seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead HR operations, talent acquisition, and employee relations for a fast-growing government contracting company. This role reports to the COO and will shape people strategies and partner with leaders to scale the workforce.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of HR management, a Bachelor’s degree, and a track record of building HR capability in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 8+ years HR management experience preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience in government contracting.
• Experience partnering with business operations leaders.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR department vision and strategy; drive the work of the HR team to achieve organizational goals.
• Hire, coach and develop a high performing HR team across multiple disciplines.
• Design and implement talent lifecycle initiatives including onboarding, compensation and pay administration, benefits and leaves, employee relations, performance management and career development.
• Manage HR operations by developing HR processes and implementing systems that support company growth.
• Collaborate with internal HR stakeholders and other functional areas to build, integrate, and maintain HR technology interfaces across the company to drive efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with, and manage reporting for, local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
