Job summary

Divergent is seeking a Senior HR Generalist / Employee Relations Specialist to shape a fair, high-performing workplace as we scale. You will manage employee relations matters, investigations, and policy guidance, partnering with Legal and People leadership to reduce risk and improve the employee experience.

Based onsite at our Torrance, CA headquarters with relocation to Long Beach, CA, you will design systems and provide data-driven insights to support growth, process improvements, and scalable

Qualifications

• Experience applying California employment practices and workplace compliance requirements.
• Experience independently managing employee relations matters, investigations, and support programs.
• Experience administering leaves, accommodations, and workers' compensation.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to partner with Legal on complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for managers and employees on employee relations concerns.
• Conduct intake, investigations, fact-finding, documentation, and resolution recommendations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address performance, conflicts, and policy questions.
• Develop and improve employee relations systems, documentation, and escalation frameworks.
• Ensure consistent policy application and compliance across the organization.
• Provide cross-functional support with Legal, Payroll, Finance, Security, and Talent Acquisition.
