Job summary

Dallastown Area School District is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead the district's HR function. Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of experience in human resources preferred.
• Knowledge of school code, employment law, PDE certification regulations, negotiating, and Act 93 agreements.
• Completion and submission of all mandated pre-employment documents and information

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer a comprehensive human resources plan in accordance with applicable law, Board policy and best practices; assist other administrators with identifying staff development needs at building/departmental level.
• Direct and supervise the recruitment, selection and employment processes of all administrative, instructional, and support personnel.
• Monitor all personnel actions involving status and salary and prepare the recommendations of the Superintendent concerning all such personnel matters, including hiring, resignations, terminations, discipline and leaves of absences.
• Oversee the administration of the District's leave of absence policies and procedures for all employee groups.
• Administer current collective bargaining agreements, compensation & benefits plans outlined in employee handbooks, and personnel policies and procedures to ensure compliance and provide staff training on elements of these agreements, handbooks, policies and procedures.

Education

Bachelor's degree in HR Management or business-related field

Master's degree preferred
