Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR) seeks a Deputy Director of Human Resources to provide strategic leadership and executive counsel across workforce operations. You will oversee Recruitment, Classification & Compensation, Learning & Development, and HR Systems, driving excellence and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position, two (2) of which must have included experience with public or business administration, establishing goals and objectives, as well as supervising and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for efficient HR operations and lead critical projects.
• Develop policies, procedures, and programs and facilitate implementation.
• Oversee Human Resources daily operations.
• Develop KPIs, mentoring, and feedback for staff
• Establish trusted relationships and respond to urgent requests.
• Contribute to HR strategic goals, ensuring DOR is an employer of choice.
• Provide HR consultation and coaching to department leaders.
• Oversee a comprehensive compensation policy and pay plan.
• Act as an internal consultant, analyzing and recommending solutions on HR issues.
• Serve as the Co-Chair of the Deputy Leadership Team.
• Analyze trends, develop solutions, and implement change initiatives efficiently.
