Job summary

Curbridge is an HR consulting partner helping businesses build solid HR foundations and reduce HR burden. The HR Consultant will manage a book of business across Curbridge and Directors Desk, delivering projects and actionable solutions.

You will lead client engagements, develop policies and playbooks, advise on complex HR issues, and collaborate with a small, entrepreneurial team to grow the practice while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience (consulting or in-house).
• Experience in a client-facing role is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of HR fundamentals: employment standards, compliance, employee relations, and talent management.
• Excellent communication skills; able to build trust quickly and communicate with diplomacy.
• Extremely detail oriented.
• Proactive, forward-thinking, and solution oriented.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a small-business, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR consulting engagements across areas such as building HR foundations, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and HR strategy.
• Progress clients through HR consulting projects, within company systems, ensuring timely delivery and expert execution of deliverables.
• Develop critical documentation, such as employee handbooks, policy, or communication, to support clients and their employees.
• Review client policies and programs for compliance with federal/provincial law and HR best practices.
• Guide clients through organizational change.
• Provide timely, professional, and trusted advice in sensitive situations.
• Manage client files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and completeness.
• Support Directors Desk client inquiries and HR troubleshooting for designated child care clients, guiding to resources and learning in HR.
