Job summary

Lyles Services Co., part of Lyles Construction Group, seeks an experienced HR Generalist/Business Partner to provide proactive HR consultation across multiple subsidiaries in California. You will advise managers, conduct investigations, manage performance, and ensure legal compliance with FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and FLSA.

Join a team focused on employee development, training coordination, and HR data reporting. Travel up to 40% may be required to support activities across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Master's degree in Human Resources or MBA preferred but not required.
• 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including time in a generalist or broad HR role.
• Strong experience in employee relations and labor relations, including workplace investigations, performance management, separations, and grievances.
• Multi-site or multi-entity experience strongly preferred in a multi-subsidiary organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level employee relations guidance to managers and employees.
• Conduct and support workplace investigations with thorough documentation.
• Facilitate performance improvement plans and coach managers on performance management processes.
• Coordinate employee separations, including documentation and compliance considerations.
• Support grievance handling and documentation with labor relations leadership.
• Ensure compliance with federal and California employment laws (FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA).
• Partner with managers and subsidiary leadership to provide practical HR guidance.
• Translate HR policies into actionable, business-focused solutions.
